Company Information 

F29 started out as an outlet for discussion; allowing its original members (Andrew Yu, Melissa Dionisio, Megan Gray and Evelyn Chew) to question the confines of mainstream theatre practices. F29 aims to entertain and connect; stir the culture pot and fight for the underdog.

Floccinaucinihilipilification: Noun. The estimation of something as valueless (encountered mainly as an example of one of the longest words in the English language. An act or instance of judging something to be worthless or trivial.

F29 is excited to be back at New Bee’s with its new member Phoebe Vlassis! They met on a farm a few years back and have been intimate ever since. Evelyn and Phoebe hope to stir new feelings and thoughts within you that might never have occurred without this F29 performance.

Company Bios


Evelyn Chew and Phoebe Vlassis

Evelyn is a big fan of people coming together to make something new. This piece is so new that as she is writing this bio there is actually nothing yet created. Isn’t that scary and exciting?! She loves theatre and hopes to move as many people as possible. Evelyn has worked with theatre companies such as Neworld Theatre, Caravan Farm Theatre, Burnt Thicket Theatre, Project X Theatre, Theatre Conspiracy and Screaming Weenie Productions. Evelyn will be performing in Rumble Productions’ Obstuctions show, June 9th. She is a graduate of both the Douglas College and Studio 58 Acting programs.


Phoebe Vlassis and Evelyn Chew

Phoebe Vlassis is a multidisciplinary theatre artist. This year’s goal is to create as many theatre productions as possible, improve her posture and get more informed about what is going on in the world right now. She is a graduate from Studio 58 and has worked with theatre companies such as Akpik Theatre, Caravan Stage Company, Urban Crawl, Electric Company, Boca Del Lupo, BellaLuna, Caravan Farm Theatre. She is very excited about her site specific piece (located in her very own room) with the Vancouver Fringe Festival, 2013.
